What an awesome experience today for our middle school Greendevils! All of our 7th and 8th grade students were able to attend the "Skill UP: Explore the Skilled Trades" career fair out at Gateway's Boone County Campus today. Our kids were exposed to numerous possible career paths and learned a ton about all the fantastic opportunities out there. As always, we were very proud of how well they represented Dayton! #WeAreDayton

Senior Signing Day:
Attention Dayton HS Senior Parents and Guardians:
We are excited to celebrate our seniors who have committed to a post-secondary opportunity at the 2026 DHS Senior Signing Day on Thursday, April 23, at 2:00 PM.
In order to be recognized at senior signing day, students had to complete the necessary steps to participate in this special event.
Steps included their Senior Celebration of Learning presentation and verification of acceptance to a college or university, enlistment in the military, or post-graduation employment. Students who completed all steps, received an invite from the Guidance Office.
We warmly invite you to join us as we recognize student’s accomplishments during the Senior Signing Day program, followed by a brief reception in the library.
The program will begin promptly at 2:00 PM. Parents and guardians may enter through the main entrance of the high school beginning at 1:40 p.m., and you will be directed to the gymnasium upon arrival.
Each participating senior will be honored by signing a letter of intent with a representative from their chosen college, university, career path, or branch of the military.
Following the program, please join us in the library for light snacks and refreshments.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ms. Beth Fields (
beth.fields@dayton.kyschools.us) or Mrs. Erica Sauser (

We are happy to announce Dayton High School's March Drivers of the Month! These outstanding students were chosen based on their representation of the fifth and final Energy Bus Rule-"Enjoy the Ride." Our March Drivers were specifically chosen by their 6th period teachers, and they were all picked becasue they genuienly enjoy school and maintain a consistent positive outlook no matter what may be happening. They also all tend to bring an uplifting energy to everything they do. They arrive each day with enthusiasm, seeing school not as an obligation but as an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow. Whether they are in the classroom, participating in activities, or simply interacting with peers, their attitude is consistently optimistic and encouraging. Thank you, March Drivers, for making Dayton High School a better and more positive place! Congratulations! #WeAreDayton

Dayton High School Girl's Basketball welcomes Jeff Wood as the next Head Coach for the Greendevils. As the first addition to his staff Dayton Alumnus Reba Sanders will take the Head Assistant role.
Mr. Wood had an exemplary career at Aiken HS in Cincinnati where he revived a program in 3 years, making them a winner, and competitive in the state tournament. Mr. Wood also serves as the director of the Leaders of Tomorrow youth basketball club, a mentor in the Boys and Girls Club, and a mentor for foster youth at the Lighthouse Children's Home. Mr. Wood looks to make an immediate impact both on and off the court for our girls.
Ms. Sanders is a graduate of Dayton HS and has been instrumental in the success of our MS program. Leading the girls to multiple championship appearances and finishing the top of the league standings was the normal for the MS under her leadership. Dayton is excited to have one of it's own in such a critical position.
Join Dayton HS in welcoming our newest Greendevils! #wearedayton
