HS Graduation will take place inside the gymnasium at Dayton High School. The program will begin at 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 5:45.

Congratulations to Wyatt Bundy for being named to the District 36 all tournament team. In the team's game against Newport Wyatt had a three hit day with single, double, and a triple. He was a homerun away from hitting for the cycle. #wearedayton

YondR bag collection will take place on Wednesday, May 20th during lunch. Students are responsible for returning their assigned YondR bag in good condition. If a bag is damaged, lost, or not returned, a $35 fee will be added to the student’s account.
Please note that seniors will turn in their YondR bags during graduation practice on Monday, May 18th. Graduation practice will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we complete the school year successfully.

A big congratulations to two of our outstanding 8th grade Greendevils, Mystiq Catacora and Papi Jimenez, for being chosen for this year's Kentucky Commonwealth Award. Senator Shelley Funke Frommeyer visited DHS to present the award and show some much deserved recognition for these two amazing young Greendevils. Congrats Mystiq and Papi!


Brown Drives 5 Runners Home In Dayton Varsity Greendevils Victory Over Holmes

Brown drove in five runs on three hits to lead Dayton Varsity Greendevils past Holmes 13-1 on Monday. Brown singled in the first scoring two, singled in the sixth scoring two, and singled in the second scoring one.
Anderson struck out 11 batters on the day. The pitcher also allowed three hits and one run over six innings while walking five.
Dayton Varsity Greendevils jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Brown singled, scoring two runs, a steal of home scored one run, and Williams singled, scoring one run.
Dayton Varsity Greendevils added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Brown singled to center field, Harris walked, Massey singled to the right side of the infield, and Vazquez singled, each scoring one run.
Dayton Varsity Greendevils extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI walks by Massey and Vazquez.
Hudson Gribble led things off on the mound for Holmes. The starter surrendered eight hits and 10 runs (eight earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking four.
Dayton Varsity Greendevils collected 12 hits in the game. Erdman, Anderson, and Williams each collected multiple hits for Dayton Varsity Greendevils. Dayton Varsity Greendevils had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Anderson and Bundy led the team with two walks each. Anderson and Brown each stole multiple bases for Dayton Varsity Greendevils. Dayton Varsity Greendevils stole eight bases in the game. Dayton Varsity Greendevils were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Erdman had the most chances in the field with 11.
Tyler Brashear set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Holmes with two hits in three at bats.

Parents/guardians may enter through the main entrance. Due to space limitations, dinner will be restricted to each senior and up to two/three additional guests to ensure everyone can be accommodated for the dinner part of the evening.
The awards program will begin around 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. There is no limit to the number of family members and friends who may attend the program. A clearly marked entrance on the Clay Street side will be available, opening at 6:40 p.m. to allow additional guests to join and show their support for our seniors.
All seniors are encouraged to attend, as each student’s accomplishments will be recognized individually during the program.
We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 and their achievements with you.

We are pleased to announce that our annual Academic Awards Program will be held on Friday, May 15th. This program celebrates the outstanding academic achievements of students in grades 7 through 11, and we are excited to recognize their hard work and dedication throughout the 2025–2026 school year.
The middle school program will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., followed by the high school program from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Students who will be receiving awards will be notified by school staff no later than Tuesday, May 12th. We encourage you to check with your student to confirm their recognition and join us in celebrating their accomplishments.
Parents and guardians attending the middle school program should enter through the main entrance doors beginning at 8:10 a.m. and proceed to the gymnasium. Those attending the high school program should enter through the high school main entrance, with doors opening at 9:40 a.m..
