Happy Energy Bus Thursday!!"Upstander’s wanted on the Energy Bus" was the title of this week’s Energy Bus activity. This activity afforded opportunities for discussions about the Portrait of a Greendevil competency of LEADERSHIP. It takes leadership and character to stand up to a bully. Some classes even acted out scenarios in which students had the opportunity to show how to be an Upstander when faced with a bullying situation. #WeAreDayton 🚌💚

A huge congratulations to Dayton High School's November Drivers of the Month! These students were chosen from their third period teacher based on Energy Bus Rule #3-'No Bullying Allowed.' All of our November Drivers of the Month go out of their way to not only treat everyone with respect, kindness, and compassion, but also stand up to bullying whenever they see it. They are a huge reason why Dayton High School has the uplifting, positive, wlecoming culture that it does. We are extremely lucky to call this group Greendevils! Congrats! #WeAreDayton

Happy Energy Bus Tuesday! This week's activity was "The Gratitude Drive: Fueling the Anti-Bullying Bus." This activity encouraged students to list things they were thankful for. By putting an emphasis on gratitude we encourage others by showing appreciation for them. When we do this we fuel up on positivity. Fueling up on positivity by showing gratitude and thankfulness helps eliminate the negativity that often leads to bullying. We are so grateful for all of our amazing Greendevils! #WeAreDayton 🚌💚

The Dayton middle schoolers were grooving last night! Our 7th and 8th graders tore up the dance floor at their Disco themed middle school dance. Everyone had a great time-chaperones included! A special thank you to DHS FBLA for planning and organizing the dance so that our middle school students could create some amazing memories. #WeAreDayton 🪩💚

Happy Energy Bus Thursday! This week we created Anti-Bullying posters and signs. Creating posters/signs and displaying them throughout classrooms and hallway bulletin boards will create visible, consistent messages that foster a positive and respectful school cultures by reinforcing kindness and empathy. Activities like this provide an additional avenue to educate students about the different forms of bullying and empower them to speak up against it. #WeAreDayton 💚🚌
