Mr. Wolf and Bri Trent

Before heading down to George Rogers Clark to compete in the state cheerleading competition, the Dayton High School cheerleading squad took some time to honor and recognize the teachers, staff, and administrators in the district. On Wednesday, December 11th, each cheerleader visited a staff member in the district who has had the greatest impact on their lives to show some gratitude before going to compete for a state title. They were prepared with a t-shirt for their "person" complete with the cheerleader's last name on the back. The teachers and staff proudly wore their t-shirts on Friday to support the cheerleaders as they travel to George Rogers Clark High School to compete.

Senior Brianna Trent chose Superintendent Rick Wolf as her impactful person because "he has known me since I was little. Every time I think of Mr. Wolf, I think of the time he walked in my class and read my name tag and called me 'Bri-T,' and, ever since then, it stuck. Mr. Wolf has always been there not just for me, but for my little siblings as well. He never fails to put a smile on our faces or make us laugh." Mr. Wolf was at a loss when receiving his t-shirt from Brianna-"I was really excited when Bri-T offered me her shirt! I can't wait to wear it all day to support Bri and her Greendevil teammates."

We are so proud of our cheerleaders, and even more proud to have so many trusting, impactful, and wonderful adults that provide such a great influence and example for our students. Good luck down state, Greendevils!
